WHAT IS MPSC?

KaSMED — Correspondence Seminar in Medicine is a new project created by high school and university students under the civic association mMEDCON. It aims to introduce the field of medicine to high school students in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

KaSMED consists of sets of tasks covering various medical topics in the form of case studies. Participants receive materials such as patient history descriptions, symptoms, vital signs, and more. Their task is to develop a hypothesis for a possible diagnosis, create a plan for short- or long-term treatment, assess potential risks, and answer other questions related to the diagnosis. The correspondence seminar is available in both Slovak and English.

This year’s KaSMED topics include:
Neurology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, and Orthopedics.

 

The first round will be released on October 26, 2024.
